Think on These Things

When I am overwhelmed – be the “what-if’s” I might face
And there’s a whirlwind of emotions in my mind
I could let thoughts take me captive 
or put them in their place
And choose to leave those stumbling blocks behind

I know God has control of tomorrow 
and He’s given me grace for today
So I can be anxious for nothing – If only I trust and obey

It’s so easy to be bound – by worries of the past
And caught up in thoughts of what might have been
And though the future still seems shaky 
full of frightening unknowns
I won’t be enslaved by what’s around the bend
