He Walked Down The Road
He Walked Down the Road
Karen Itzel, Bill Itzel He walked down the road Knowing what was to come For the sake of His enemies In the eyes of the Judge The death of the Son Was the only true remedy For those He had made Had been soiled by sin Their beauty, now stained and impure So He walked down the road For the love of the ones Whose eternity He would secure He walked down the road From heaven to earth Humbly He lived among men His hand reaching down To the crushed and enslaved Healing those ravaged within The blind now could see The deaf could hear He offered forgiveness of sin He walked down the road God’s only Son The Lamb who’d be broken for them Now we walk down the road being led by the one Who promised us never to leave He leads us beside The waters so still And he causes our hearts to believe And though we walk Through the valley of death Our confidence is restored For He’s leading us home as daughters and sons, To dwell in the house of the Lord |
