Can You Hear Me Now?

God speaks to me the things I need to hear
The paths that I should follow and peace when I draw near
But so many other sounds drown out His call
At times I barely hear Him, and sometimes not at all

But although it often takes an intervention
He never stops seeking my attention

Sometimes a still, small voice
God’s Sprit’s always speaking
Through all the distracting noise
In good times on the mountain top
And hard times in the rain
He’ll speak to us through blessings
And He’ll speak to us through pain
Through all life’s circumstances
Just know that God is asking
“Can you hear me now?”
“Can you hear me now?”

We check out inbox 30 times a day
We live our lives on facebook, friends have so much to say
Our hands are tired from texting without fail
But when God sends us messages, He goes right to voicemail
