Cries of the Forgottenw/m Karen & Bill Itzel 7/30/09
She was cast away from the only life she’d known She found herself surrounded by a desert land Hagar and her son were all alone Nothing but a cup of water in her hand Then she cried out in her misery Is there anyone who hears? Or do the cries of the forgotten Fall upon deaf ears? Just then like a cool and gentle breeze She was rescued by the God who sees Chorus For my God sees and my God hears My God sees and my God hears * If He sees the sparrow fall He will hear you when you call My God sees and my God hears Abandonment was all that she had known No one to guide her steps or take her hand An orphaned child who faced the world alone Just waiting for someone to understand Those hopeful eyes that shine by day At night they fill with tears But know the cries of the forgotten Never fall upon deaf ears Although you feel invisible, He sees each tear you’ve cried He is reaching out to you, His arms are open wide |
